Dr. William Fieldsmith earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University where he graduated summa cum laude. He then attended UT Southwestern Medical School. Following medical school, he completed a family medicine residency at Baylor Medical Center in Garland and graduated in 2009. Dr. Fieldsmith is board certified in family medicine and has more than 15 years of experience in emergency medicine and urgent care.
Dr. Fieldsmith lives in Heath, TX with his wife, Tammy, and two daughters, Charlotte and Claire.
Today I had to follow up on a staph infection. After almost 10 days of antibiotics it was getting worse and had to be drained. Dr Fieldsmith was amazing. I dreaded the whole experience, but he is so gentle and sympathetic, I felt I could NOT have been in better hands. Thank you, Dr Fieldsmith!!
My husband and I were not feeling well and did not want the condition to get worse on our sore throat, heavy congestion, etc. So, we went to Rapid Care for the first time, and it was a very good experience. I made sure to make the appointment online through their website, fill out medical condition and history, and then went in next day for the appointment. We were seen within 5 minutes. The friendly nurse took our temperatures, pulse, etc and then did a swab of the throat for testing. Then when the results came out within a short time, Dr. Fieldsmith came in to see us. He was very pleasant and helpful. Luckily, we tested negative however he said adults sometimes will test negative due to some prior immunity compared to children. So, he still prescribed us medications, and it was filled almost immediately at our local pharmacy. Now we feel much better. I would not hesitate to visit this clinic when necessary.
The BEST medical office! I was not feeling well, booked a session with Dr Fieldsmith and was in and out in 30 minutes. The receptionist,Tammy, was so sweet. The nurse, Patrick, greeted me and discussed my issues very patiently. Dr Fieldsmith was very concerned and compassionate. A plan of care was made and I was on my way! I would recommend them HIGHLY!

Rapid Care is the clinic to go to when needing care with little wait time in Rockwall. Dr Fieldsmith and his staff are both caring and with a great bedside manner to get you well.
